General
- Photographer may travel outside Harlingen area for an additional fee.
- Physical products, such as prints and photo books, require additional time to process, ship, and deliver.
- ‘Day’ is equal to ‘Business Day’ meaning ‘Monday—Friday’.
- ‘Commercial’ means projects for business, government, public figures, industrial, or commercial entities. These projects may be for public consumption, marketing, or internal.
- ‘Private’ means projects for individuals such as portraiture and lifestyle capture, or events such as weddings or memorial services.
Rescheduling, and Additional Hours
- Client may reschedule once for no additional fee if rescheduled before 48 hours of session date.
- Additional reschedules will each incur a fee of 25% of total quoted amount.
- Additional session hours may be possible depending on photographer’s schedule with the following fees:
- Additional photography rate: $50 per hour.
- Additional videography rate: $100 per hour.
Booking, Retainers, Payments, and Cancellations
Payment must be made using any one of the accepted forms of payment.
Projects up to $499
- Booking:
- Commercial: payment of 100% of total quoted amount owed is due upon booking.
- Private: non-refundable retainer payment of 50% of total quoted amount owed is due upon booking.
- Cancellation:
- Commercial: cancellation fee is 50% of the total payment.
- Private: retainer payment is non-refundable.
Projects from $500 up to $999
- Booking (all): retainer payment of 50% of total quoted amount owed is due upon booking.
- Total quoted amount owed is due upon the first date of the photo/video session.
- Cancellation: retainer payment is non-refundable.
Projects from $1,000 and up
- Commercial projects only.
- Non-refundable payments may be divided equally in increments of 1/2, or 1/3, or 1/4, et cetra, depending on project scope, budget, and schedule.
- The first payment serves as the retainer fee and must be paid at time of booking in order to secure the session date.
Self-Promotion
- Photography
- ‘Photographer Selects’ are images from a photo session that the photographer believes represents himself and the client in the best possible way, and are used to publicly market (including in advertisements, and upon the photographer’s websites and blogs) the photographer and his services.
- The product of all photo sessions by Jason R. Johnston Photography are eligible for Photographer Selects consideration, unless specified not to be shared publicly in written agreement between Jason R. Johnston Photography and the client.
- Videography
- ‘Demo Reels’ and ‘Sizzle Reels’ are clips from video sessions that the videographer believes represents himself and the client in the best possible way, and are used to publicly market (including in advertisements, and upon the photographer’s websites and blogs) the videographer and his services.
- The product of all video sessions by Jason R. Johnston Photography are eligible for Demo Reel and Sizzle Reel consideration, unless specified not to be shared publicly in written agreement between Jason R. Johnston Photography and the client.
